Daniel Chan : Fletcher Faculty / PMA-CPT, DipEng

Daniel has 15 years of teaching experience in personal training and group exercise, and 13 years of experience teaching Pilates to fitness trainers and clients. He is a highly sought-after Pilates teacher, educator and presenter, most notably for his “Pilates for Men” workshop at the inaugural Fletcher Pilates Conference in Arizona, USA (2011).

He started studying with Pilates Master Teacher Ron Fletcher since 2004 and was chosen by Fletcher Pilates International as a Fletcher Faculty since 2008. Daniel teaches the Fletcher Pilates teacher training program and Fletcher Pilates courses in Singapore and around South-East Asia. He has also been invited to present Fletcher Pilates in Seoul Korea (2009).

A firm advocate of continuing education, Daniel strongly believes that an understanding of anatomy and body mechanics makes exercising more effective. As such, he often attends related conferences like the FAMI (Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injury) workshop in New York and other manual therapy courses.

Jerry Teo : Fletcher Faculty / PMA-CPT, BEng

Jerry started studying with Pilates Master Teacher Ron Fletcher and Elder since 2004 and has been teaching Pilates for more than 8 years with the mission of inspiring his students to make changes that would improve their quality of life. Prior to that, he was a Physical Training Instructor in the Singapore Army, training Officers-to-be in the areas of running, swimming, weights training and clearing obstacles.

His Pilates teaching experience include

  • A 2-year stint as a Pilates lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, teaching dancers Pilates as part of their study towards the Diploma of Dance
  • Conducting golf-conditioning Pilates one-on-one class with his understanding of biomechanics of Golf from The Golf Athlete program
  • Teaching Pre and Post natal Pilates classes from The BabySmart program
  • Introducing Pilates at workplace to banks, law firms, trading, shipping and government sectors
  • Promoting and teaching Pilates at schools (NUS, NTU, junior college and secondary school) to the younger generation

Jerry believes that everyone can realise their movement potential with Pilates and continues to attend important conferences such as the FAMI (Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injury) workshop in New York in order to deliver his teachings better.

Kris Ng : Fletcher Faculty / PMA-CPT, Bcom

Handpicked by Fletcher Pilates International as a Fletcher Faculty since 2008, Kris teaches the Fletcher Pilates teacher training program and Fletcher Pilates courses in Singapore and around South-East Asia.

Most recently, she was invited to present Fletcher Pilates at the Polestar Retreat in Malaysia (Aug 2012), the Asian Fitness Convention in Thailand (Oct 2012) and the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science in Singapore (Oct 2012). Internationally, Kris taught at the inaugural Fletcher Pilates Conference in Tucson Arizona, USA (2011).

Kris started taking Pilates classes since 1998 in Sydney Australia and began studying with first-generation Pilates Master Teacher Ron Fletcher since 2004. She credits Ron’s stirring and demanding teachings as the pivoting point of her Pilates practice and teaching career.

Kris believes in teaching to effect a positive and independent change in her students through approaching Fletcher Pilates from various perspectives in Pilates one-on-one sessions and Pilates group. She continues to study with second-generation Pilates teachers like Kyria Sabin, Deborah Mendoza and Blossom Leilani Crawford.

LayYong, Ooi : Fletcher Faculty / PMA-CPT, MBA

LayYong has been practicing and teaching Fletcher Pilates for 7 years. Her experience encompasses private and group sessions with clients ranging from teenagers to seniors.

LayYong is a member of the Fletcher Pilates Faculty that offers Pilates teacher training in South East Asia. She is involved in the management and teaching of students from various countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Korea and The Philippines.

In 2012, LayYong presented the Fletcher Towelwork at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science in Singapore and at Asia Fitness Convention in Pattaya, Thailand.
